The young women participating in GSTEM are gaining valuable insight and experience in the scientific method and research lab experiences brought to them by a group of excellent mentor scientists. On one of the club meetings, the participants were observing, counting, and recording cultures of bacterial growth in Petri dishes as part of one of their ongoing experiments. The GSTEM Club is currently facilitated by Candice Halbert.
