Project Excellence

Project Excellence is a Youth Leadership Initiative that facilitates a collaborative youth leadership program, which is currently winding up its first full cycle as an 11th and 12th grade pilot program offered in collaboration with Knox County Schools, The University of Tennessee College of Education, Health and Human Sciences, Project GRAD Knoxville and A-1 Learning Connections/S.M.A.R.T. Institute. Students have spent time during their 11th and 12th grade year with the University of Tennessee’s Undergraduate Leadership Instructor Ms. Kimberly Hill, exploring their leadership strengths, learning leadership concepts, and identifying their personal values, vision, and mission to develop their own leadership goals. Two Project Excellence Students have been accepted into the University of Tennessee while others are receiving college admissions from other higher education institutions both in and out of the state of Tennessee. Project Excellence is currently facilitated by Kimberly Hill.
